Direction

An Arabic interface reads right to left, which does not mean flipping the whole design: the logo, icons and numerals keep their own logic.

Fonts

An Arabic font needs a larger size and line height than Latin for the same legibility. Ignoring this produces cramped, hard-to-read text.

Numerals

An interface may need Latin or Arabic numerals depending on context, with a consistent choice. Mixing them on the same screen produces confusion.

Dates

Gregorian and Hijri calendars may appear together in the same field. The format must be defined in advance, not left to the developer.

Dynamic text

Arabic is longer than English in many phrases, and a design that does not tolerate expansion produces truncated text.

Testing

Test in Arabic on a real device, not in another language with swapped text. Late testing reveals design problems, not text problems.
