Why weekly

A monthly forecast hides a mid-month due date. A weekly one reveals the gap precisely enough to act: defer a payment, accelerate a collection, or arrange short-term funding.

Sources

Actual bank balances, receivables with expected collection dates, payables with due dates, payroll, tax and financing instalments. Rely on memory for none of them.

Assumptions

Every line needs a written assumption: expected collection rate and the customer's usual delay. A forecast without written assumptions becomes a guess that changes each time.

Three scenarios

Base, expected and conservative. The conservative scenario is not pessimism but a capability test: can we survive if our largest customer delays a month?

المتابعةFollow-up

Compare forecast to actual weekly and analyse the difference. Accuracy improves through repeated comparison, not by producing a perfect forecast first time.

Action

A forecast that produces no decision has no use. Tie each expected gap to a specific action: defer a purchase, accelerate an invoice, or start a funding conversation early.
